Taxidermy

Continuing the theme of cloth and skin. I have long admired the work of Polly Morgan  The process of taxidermy is fascinating in itself but the pieces and installations she creates are compelling and mysterious. I paid close attention to art which focussed on the embodiment of moment when I was ill and getting slightly obsessed with death and feeling that I was some how suspended in time, in a diagnosis.

In the work below, I entrap pain killers in crocheted strands of a basic wool and lace and place them together on top of a remnant of lace.
